The movie Sardaar Ji 3 has released worldwide but not in India. Despite the backlash Diljit has not changed his stand on the international release of the movie. He also added that the producer will face a huge loss if Sardaar Ji 3 does not release worldwide as its not welcomed in India, after its worldwide opening it has got a good response in Pakistan but still around 40% loss is estimated. A large portion of the viewers are calling for boycott the film while there are people take stand with Sardaar Ji 3 as well. Bollywood is also divided in their opinions.

Reason behind Sardaar Ji 3 is not released in India

The film face blockade in India and currently unavailable. This is due to rising tension between India and Pakistan recent affairs after the Pahalgam Terror Attack. As Sardaar Ji 3 has casted the Pakistani actress Hania Amir that sparked the outrage.it is clear that the online critics are not happy and questioning the involvement of the Pakistani actress in an Indian film at this sensitive time. Also Hania abused Indian Army during the operation indoor is a reason behind the backlash.

Response from Diljit

In a recent interview to BBC Asian Diljit stood with his decision to release the movie overseas. He said when the movie was filmed it was all good between India and Pakistan. The Pahalgam Attack has nothing to do with this film. He also mentioned the movie was wrapped couple of months before the attack. So he had to be releasing Sardaar Ji 3 internationally including Pakistan. While the Indian audience are bashing him by saying he can stand with a Pakistani actress but did not post anything during the Pahalgam Incident.

Different opinion from Bollywood

It seems that the celebs are also divided in this matter. While veteran actor Nasiruddin shah stands with Diljit on the other side famous singer Mika Singh, legendary singer Abhijit Bhattacharya and Guru Randhawa criticized Diljit on Sardaar Ji 3. Nasiruddin Shah who is famous for his love for Pakistan has backed Diljit by saying that directors make choices about casting, Diljit should not be held responsible for that. He also advocated about his rights to have personal connections in Pakistan. Later he deleted his post after getting online criticism, but later shah also claimed he did not deleted the post.

On the other hand Mika Singh takes a dig at Diljit on the casting of Sardaar Ji 3 by posting country is above all and suggested Diljit to apologize to the nation. Without naming Diljit , Mika said we should not cast someone from Pakistan as our relationship is not good and also  said about the disappearing of a fake singer which is pointed strongly to Diljit as he has been performing overseas. singer Abhijit Bhattacharya and Guru Randhawa also criticized him.

Once Diljit on his concert shouted “ Kisi ke baap ka Hindustan thori hai” Abhijit replied “Hindustan humare baap ka hai”.Guru also posted to think about our country’s dignity but later he deleted his account leaving the fans confused about his stand.

Pakistan audience backed Sardaar Ji 3

As Diljit did not change his mind and released the movie Internationally, it has received love in Pakistan. Diljit shared a clip of people cheering for Sardaar Ji 3 in a scene where Hania is featured. Diljit shared a video of full occupied theater and people were enjoying in Pakistan. According to the Indian box office the movie has earned 11Cr in the first two days.

First day has earned 4.32Cr and the second day 6.71Cr which is not that good as a Bollywood standard but still getting hype considering the earnings are just coming from outside India. The movie now has become the highest earning Punjabi movie after ten days.

Why people are opposing

Now there is many reasons people are angry about the film. As during the conflict when operation Sindoor was going on Hania abused Indian army by saying coward and posted on her social media. Fans noticed that Hania stood with Pakistan but Diljit has not taken a stand for India and posted nothing but now he is promoting the movie and defending the actress on his social media. So people are accusing Diljit for this activities that they don’t care about the country all they care about is their movie and earnings.

And it is not just Hania, from the past singers or actors from Pakistan has come to India earned money from here and said controversial things about Indians when they got back to Pakistan. Because they want to live in Pakistan and don’t want to lose fans over there. Singer Atif Aslam is the recent example, after doing a show in India and earn hugely he criticized Indian audience when got back to Pakistan.so Indians are not happy with that, why Pakistani’s comes to India if they don’t like us. this is what Indian fans are proposing.

Actually Pakistani actors or singers cannot earn half of the money in Pakistan which they can earn from India, this greed is what lure them to India. Also they cannot live in Pakistan if they don’t abuse Indians. now some fans have also accused Diljit for not standing with the country during the conflict with Pakistan from 7th of may onward as Diljit has not posted anything for the nation but now he is posting and promoting his film and some clips from Pakistan as well.

Now as the movie has not released in India it is still facing the loss but internationally and specially it is doing good in Pakistan. So we have to wait a few days more to see the final collection of Sardaar Ji 3. Now there is few arguments of keeping the politics aside or there is no borders for art, this things are also going on in India as it is the largest democracy in the world, people have rights to say what they feel like.

But is casting a Pakistani so important while our soldiers are dying for protecting us on the border or we should keep forgetting that Pakistan has launched so many terrorist attacks on our innocent civilians, the Bollywood needs to decide.
